The foot surface is seated out to avoid excessive pressure on the sole. Nail holes are punched at the same pitch of the hoof wall. Open toe to facilitate the break-over and avoid excessive grown of the hoof. Bevelled outer rim at toe (from quarter to quarter) to promote rolling; rear surface to support the hind part of the hoof. Effective on all types of terrains.
