The  V insert can fit to give frog support, transfers the ground bearing surface to the caudal part of the foot supports or protects the distal phalanx  and reduces pressure on the toe. The stamps are punched further back to make sure that the nails can be driven into healthy areas and painlessly in laminitic horses, and at the same pitch of the hoof wall.
