The V insert can fit to give frog support, transfers the ground bearing surface to the caudal part of the foot supports or protects the distal phalanx and reduces pressure on the toe. The full bar and V-insert in contact with the frog support the weight, thus reducing the tension on other structures in case of caudal cracks, weak and oblique heels. The toe is squared and boxed to anticipate break-over, thus reducing the tensions on the deep flexor tendon, on the inferior check ligament . The V-insert can fit also to avoid any contact between the frog and the ground, protecting from pressure  the anatomical structures in the rear part of the foot . The V-insert has a gap at the base so that the shoe can be widened or tightened. The foot surface of the toe is seated out in order to avoid pressures on the sole. The long fullering on the heels allows for extra nail holes. The stamps follow the same direction of the hoof wall.
Nail holes are punched a little bit backward to let you have the nailing done in the healty areas of the foot.
